About Us
The Alliance of Medical Tattooing (AMT) is an independent 501(c)(6) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals whose lives benefit from medical tattooing. Established in 2022, the AMT was founded by a collective of professionals and tattoo artists committed to cancer survivor advocacy, setting standards and guidelines for medical tattooing, board certification to tattoo artists that exceed the AMT standards in medical tattooing, and serving as a trusted resource for the medical community and individuals in need of medical tattoos.
AMT’s mission is to elevate the practice of medical tattooing by promoting the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism. Through educational resources, AMT provides a platform for medical tattoo artists to continuously improve their skills, stay informed about best practices, and connect with a growing community of experts. This collaboration helps ensure that artists are equipped to offer the highest level of care to their clients, particularly those with compromised skin.
AMT is also committed to advocating for strong regulations and ethical standards within the industry. We work alongside legislators, policymakers, and healthcare stakeholders to ensure medical tattooing is held to the highest standards, protecting patients from unqualified or unethical practitioners.
By fostering education, advocating for regulation, and promoting professionalism, the AMT seeks to ensure that medical tattoo artists deliver the best possible outcomes for their clients, enhancing the overall credibility and integrity of the medical tattooing field.
