Want to become AMT Board Certified?

Here’s how…

All new tattoo artists must fill out and submit an application, in addition to a one time submission fee, to the AMT Review Board.

The Review Board will assess your application, review your tattoo work and credentials.

AMT requires a level of competence and technical skills to be considered a “AMT Board Certified Artist” and approval will be determined by those standards.

Why join AMT?

Unifying the Industry

The unification of medical tattooing specialties through the Alliance of Medical Tattooing provides a framework that standardizes the practices in the field, ensuring that patients receive quality care from qualified professionals. As medical tattooing continues to grow in popularity, the AMT will play an essential role in advancing the quality and safety of medical tattooing procedures while promoting the recognition and respect of this critical specialty.

Community

At the Alliance of Medical Tattooing, members of the community come together to support one another and promote the advances in the use of tattooing in the medical field. This community has come to value the professional practice of medical tattooing shaped by standards and best practices as a tool for the visible and psychological recovery for trauma under the direction of licensed medical professionals.

Resources

Access to educational resources is not just important for formal education but also for lifelong learning. When individuals have access to a wide variety of educational resources, including videos, online presentations and informational materials, they can continue to learn throughout their lives. This constant exposure to new information promotes critical thinking, innovation, and adaptability.

Advocacy

As an Alliance of Medical Tattooing, it is our responsibility to advocate for medical tattooing and ensure that it becomes a recognized part of the healthcare industry. By promoting its benefits and fighting for its inclusion in healthcare policies and insurance coverage, we can help patients to receive the care they need and deserve.
Medical tattoo advocacy is an ongoing effort that requires collaboration and persistence. By working together, we can ensure that medical tattooing is no longer an overlooked aspect of healthcare and that all patients have access to the care they need to recover and heal.
