  • Christina Siegel, RN BSN, Licensed Tattoo Artist ✧ Vice President

I am a registered nurse and experienced medical tattoo artist who specializes in restorative tattooing of the breast. In 2020, I started to be affectionately known as "The Nipple Fairy ®"

After graduating from Wright State University in 1996 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree, I worked in a variety of hospital areas including: Burn unit, Neuro/Trauma, NICU, and Oncology. I also have 10 years of plastic surgery nursing experience and this is where I was introduced to the world of nipple tattooing. Unfortunately, "nurse tattooing" left survivors with less than desirable results. Strongly feeling that survivors deserved better, I began to train with professional body artists in 2014 and then started Living Story Tattoo in 2015. I became certified in Areola Restorative Tattooing in 2017.

“I'm hoping to help educate survivors and medical professionals alike on the benefits of choosing an experienced, medical tattoo artist to safely and properly provide this service. It is a great privilege to do this work and I'm extremely proud to be a part of the Alliance of Medical Tattooing.”

Nicole has been asked to present at clinical governance meetings within the NHS on the importance of areola tattoos and their affects on mental health and well being of patient aftercare. She is passional about people being able to find and receive the best service possible for medical tattooing.

  • Stacie Becker, Licensed Tattoo Artist ✧ Treasurer

Stacie Becker is the owner and medical tattoo artist at Empower Tattoo in Longwood, Florida. She has been tattooing professionally since 2007 and has specialized in medical tattooing since 2018. Stacie is also pursuing her Master of Fine Arts degree with the University of Central Florida, where she has established a research relationship with the Health Psychology Lab that has resulted in several published academic papers on the topic of medical tattooing.

“Medical tattooing is a profession that deserves to be acknowledged as a complement to surgical intervention for many purposes, one of which is the tattooing of the nipple-areola complex (NAC) on breast cancer survivors. The cultivation of synergistic relationships between the public, healthcare professionals, and medical tattoo artists is necessary to protect both the public and the medical tattoo profession as it grows. I am proud to be a member of this group, which intends to accomplish both of these goals.”

  • Miranda Proctor, UCF Clinical Health Psychology PhD Student ✧ Development Manager

Miranda Proctor is a graduate student in the University of Central Florida Clinical Psychology PhD program. She specializes in Health Psychology and working with breast cancer patients to improve biopsychosocial outcomes throughout survivorship. Miranda recently launched a national study named Project MTFM: Medical Tattooing Following Mastectomy, which aims to explore how medical tattooing may be used to mitigate body-image distress and improve mental health outcomes following surgery. She ultimately hopes to use her research as a means to help standardize medical tattooing as a medical intervention following breast cancer treatment.

“I wish to be the bridge between medical professionals and survivors to help communicate the needs of these incredible, resilient women and improve their lives throughout and following breast cancer treatment. I also hope to serve as a liaison for medical tattoo artists to begin collaborating with breast cancer physicians, surgeons, and nurses, to become a part of the treatment process. Research is essential in the standardization of medical tattooing, but it should always be driven first and foremost by patient needs. ” -Miranda Proctor, UCF Clinical Psychology PhD Student, Health Psychology Lab
