AMT Board Member Adam Daly to Present at WCTP Rome 2025
We are proud to announce that Adam Daly, a valued member of the AMT Board of Directors, will be presenting at the World Congress of Tattoo and Pigment Research (WCTP) in Rome from May 7–9, 2025. As a leading researcher and advocate in the field of medical tattooing, Adam’s presentation will explore the psychological and technical aspects of permanent makeup, with a special focus on cancer survivorship and therapeutic tattoos.
Adam's presentation is titled “Art is Just Something That Makes People Heal”, which delves into the perspectives of tattoo artists on the transformative impact of therapeutic tattoos, particularly for cancer survivors. His research offers a qualitative investigation into the role of tattoo artists in post-cancer care, highlighting the critical importance of medical tattooing for improving psychological well-being and providing emotional restoration for survivors.
As part of his ongoing research, Adam has contributed significantly to understanding how medical tattoos, including those performed post-surgery, can help patients regain a sense of normalcy and confidence. His work shines a light on the power of tattooing to heal beyond the skin and underscores the importance of involving highly skilled professionals in the recovery process.
Adam’s presentation at the WCTP represents a pivotal moment in the field of medical tattooing, as it brings academic and professional insights to an international audience of healthcare professionals, researchers, and tattoo artists.
