Upcoming AMT Webinar: Understanding Lymphedema | April 27, 2026 | 2:00 PM EST Live via Zoom

The Alliance of Medical Tattooing is pleased to host an upcoming continued education webinar with Amanda Grilli, PT, CLT, an Oncology Physical Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Therapist, and Certified Cancer Coach specializing in Breast Cancer Rehabilitation.

In this educational session, Amanda will provide an overview of lymphedema, how it develops after cancer treatment, and how it affects the lymphatic system, skin, and overall healing. This is important knowledge for tattoo artists, medical tattoo artists, and advocates working with breast cancer survivors and individuals who may be at risk for or living with lymphedema.

Understanding lymphedema is essential when working with clients who have undergone lymph node removal, radiation, reconstructive surgery, or other cancer-related treatments. The webinar will cover risk factors, precautions, skin considerations, and how professionals can work safely and responsibly with this population.

This webinar will help artists and professionals better understand how lymphedema impacts the body, when tattooing may or may not be appropriate, and how to communicate safely with clients and their medical teams when necessary.

The webinar will consist of a 45-minute presentation followed by 15 minutes for questions. The webinar will be recorded, and replays will be available after the webinar for registered attendees.
